What I love too is seeing how happy you are as you're riding & falling in love with the sport as you're becoming a healthier version of yourself! You're also inspiring me to climb more (I tend to be on flats mostly)

When you started going on cycling trips did you know the people you went with or did you meet them on a forum or something? I would love to do that but, don't know where to start.

I love cycling (muddy mtb trails) and food but have resolved to get my weight down. But, the thought of losing 35+kgs is quite depressing (starting at 115kgs). Starting tomorrow though, I'm going to be doing about 15 (road) miles a day (on the mtb as harder work than road bike) after work – irrespective of the weather or time of day; then add in some bigger off-road miles over the weekend. I have some big changes coming in the new year so this will be just the start.

Loved this! I started my cycling journey a few months ago because of lockdown. My longest ride so far is 38k. How would you advise building up longer rides?

Awesome story, very inspiring! I am just beginning cycling. As a younger individual I participated in several sports and my exercise of choice was running, but after 2 torn acl in my right knee I can no longer run, so now after several years of being a couch potato I have begun to ride a bicycle. I was a whopping 304 lbs (about 138 kilos) when I started I have lost about 15 pounds so far. Your videos are huge part of the reason I chose cycling as the primary tool for my weight loss journey.

Great video Katie, Its really good to see what positives changes bike riding can make to people's life, my wife is currently at the start of the process of bike riding to lose some weight and were really enjoying our weekend rides together, I'm really proud of her as she took in some tough hills this Saturday and she battled on through it. Keep up the great vids

Katie you are awesome!! I'm going to get into trail bike riding but need to get fit and loose weight and biking is just great, for low impact as I don't like running much, you are an inspiration to me and I would say a lot of other people! Even with the weight when starting you are a good looking female.

I am hoping to lose weight starting this upcoming week! School is starting so naturally I’ll eat less than I normally do! I’ll be trying to an hour workout when I wake up, then get ready and go to school, then when I get home I’m gonna do another hour long workout followed by an hour of walking/jogging and an hour of biking! My area is super hilly though, so as a beginner it’ll be tough. Hopefully it works! Ive been finally keeping on a schedule of bike rides every day at 4pm for the past few days! I feel committed! Yeah!!
