Itβs DAY TWELVE of the Weight Loss for Women over 50 series of workouts – your FREE 31 day exercise program, designed especially to help women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond to lose weight.
We are changing gears today, Killer Bs, for a fun and functional CARDIO YOGA workout thatβs a challenge for your body and your brain, too!
Getting a little variety in your routine is great for your overall health and fitness, and this specific workout is designed to improve your brain-body connection, with challenging balance poses and a quick pace.
SET UP:
The interval timer is set for 30 seconds and 15 seconds
WARM UP
EXERCISES:
Round ONE, complete the exercise as cardio for 30 seconds and hold for 15 seconds
Tree Jacks (one hold interval on each side)
High Lunge with Knee Up (one hold interval on each side)
Triangles (one hold interval on each side)
Forward Fold with High Hands
Chair Pose with High Hands
FINISHER:
Round TWO, complete the exercises above as a hold for 30 seconds and cardio for 15 seconds

R4 done! My balance still needs a lot of practice. If Iβm just standing on one leg without doing anything else my balance is a little bit better but when Iβm using another part of my body it doesnβt work very well. And that is why we practice right!! Until I heard you talk about balance and practice together had not ever thought of it that way before. So many new phrases and ideas and your suggestions and encouragement are absolutely awesome Pahla. Thanks!!

I'm not sure which I found more incredible – the invention of cardio yoga (I think you are on to something here) or you whispering and trying to not talk (looked a little painful – more so that the actual exercises)! Loved this – have never done this kind of workout before and it is hard to find something I haven't tried – so well done girl!

R3D12 loved this workout Pahla but most every time you said to find my balance I said to myself what balance lol! Had to use a chair. At the beginning I started to feel like I wasnβt going to do much at all but I finished and thanks to you got myself to realize I was doing my best and that was definitely good enough for me!!!! Thank you so much for finally helping me to realize this as truth!!!!

This one was harder than all others so far. Recovering "run junky" haha I feel GOOD after all that but still hard to be so "still" !!!!! Great integration!!!

Hi from Brisbane, Australia. I really enjoyed this yoga cardio workout – it was really different than other workouts that I have done. My balance isn't great, but I am focusing on improving that. Thanks, Pahla, you've been my fitness friend through COVID lockdowns and isolation.
Did this workout and Day 11 today during a Zoom webinar/meeting. Perfect workouts for multi-tasking. I am so glad I did Day 12 first as Day 11 was a bear (no more snubbing my nose at chair workouts)! If I had started with Day 11, I would have been done AND finished!! π
Hubby joined me again. He thought it would be easy because 'yoga' was in the title. We both were hurting. My heart rate really went up on this one. I need to make sure I eat decently beforehand, too. That was a big mistake. The body weight/balance exercises are a challenge for me. But I'm still going π
