I'm wondering about how your husband adjusted to your diet? My problem is that I live with my adult son, and he wants bread, potatoes and pasta. It's really hard when you are cooking for others to stick to only certain foods.

Just found your video and I have to say I definitely have to follow your suggestions. I'm 55 now and I am so frustrated by the non movement of my scale. I started walking myself..every morning. I live in Florida also and if I walk the perimeter of my neighborhood, it's 1 mile. I must follow your breakfast suggestion as I don't believe my cup of cereal is working.
    Thanks for sharing

Doing without Rice and Noodles will be very hard for me. My husband is Chinese and it's either one or the other. And making 2 meals would not work. I am trying to cut back in both. Still having but doing less. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Anne! I just ran across this video of yours, and it was just what I needed as I’m struggling to lose these dreaded pounds that seemed to have crept up on me after menopause. 🤨 I’d love to see more videos on your health & fitness routine. I got inspired ( to give up sugar 😳) after watching this video. Thanks Anne, take care! 🌷

Yep, it’s a lifestyle change—forever! If (when) I find sugar in horseradish, out it goes! Sugar is EVERYWHERE. High fructose corn syrup = sugar and it behaves the same way. Fruit is sugar—not as healthy as we are told. I’m following Nutritional Balancing with hair tissue analysis every 5-6 months. No sugar for 4.5 years and my body is detoxing fabulously—finally. Detox is difficult because the payoff can be slow (and tummy can swell and retracing happens). So much dedication. Worth it all. Inspiring video! Health is #2 thing; Love is #1.

Very inspiring. I will be 55 on 23rd this month. I’m pre-diabetic, overweight and no energy. I have Crohn’s disease, no energy and ache all over. I am addicted to sugar and other rubbish. Although I have been vegetarian for 12 years, I don’t eat fish or eggs either. But I’m still so out of shape and lost all hope because I’ve tried so many times to lose weight and fail. My doctors told me that I really don’t want to develop diabetes, not with having Crohns. But I’m desperate. I think I need prayers lol..I really do

My husband would never eat like that…I could easily, but not him! You're very lucky he supports you.

I can NOT tolerate the collagen in my coffee, even though it's "unflavored", yuck. I put it in my smoothies and can't taste it at all! Lots of good advice. Sugar has always been my struggle too.

Thanks so much for a lovely video. I am 60 and have found over the last year I was gaining all this belly fat and I too am addicted to sugar. As of January 2, 2020 I am down 13.5 pounds, thanks to cutting out all sugars, pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, etc. I already feel better but I have a ways to go.

I also did a Whole 30 and lost 8 pounds. More because nothing sounded good to me and I probably wasn’t eating enough LOL. But about nine months later I started eating sugar again and gained the weight back. But I was exactly like you are, I used to buy fireballs from 7-Eleven on the way to school and eat resell them in school, And it was not uncommon for me to finish a box of Little Debbie Swiss cake Rolls in two days. I just started progesterone cream and a slew of supplements this week and I actually have not been craving sugar but I’m not sure if it’s the cream or the supplements. I would stop one and see which one is working, but I like the results so I don’t wanna rock the boat

I loved Suzie Q's in high school. Actually, when I was in high school I would be given a 1.00 for lunch. Back in those days a $ 1.00 went a Looooooong way! I use to get a pack of cigs .50 cents, a pop and Suzie Q. or some other goodie. 60s 70's kid here. 🙂 I have gained 45 lbs since I have hit menopause. ugh

I always had a sweet tooth. I could eat sweets and no food, I could do that. Thankfully a have a good metabolism so I didn't gain much weight when I hit menopause just five pounds. But my daughter had gained weight and she visited a doctor to lose weight so I decided to go along with her. And I did. My fat percentage was normal my BMI was normal but I thought I wanted to lose some of this terrible fat I had on my belly which I didn't in the past not even in my forties. I have lost six pounds, my clothes fit me so much better, but what amazes me is that I can do so much more. Having six cats and a dog, I have to clean all day long and the house is big with lots of stairs but I have no problem anymore doing it all by myself. I had been eating one main meal, no breakfast or if I did it would be some cookies, now I eat more salads, fruit, chicken, I do eat bread but not a lot and I feel amazing!!! So it is not only about the way you look after 50 it has to do with health, as you said, and energy to do things. I have always been exercising at home, not during summer time though, but the rest of the year I always exercise three times a week and I always did my abdominals. My back has never hurt. All it takes is just to make the decision to start. Then it feels great and of course it is something which one has to keep for the rest of their life! xx

I’m a sugar addict too. My hubby started his new way of eating 2 months ago and has lost 30lbs, men they always lose it fast. He cut out all junk food, processed food, breads, pasta, and sweets. He doesn’t exercise, He loves to cook, yeah. I finally got fed up with the 20lbs I’ve been carrying around for the last couple of years, I’m 65 and it’s all in my mid-section. Told him to start feeding me what he eats but I need my veggies and salads, he only eats broccoli. I quit smoking 3 months ago, another yeah. I’ve been walking my dog Dobi everyday since we have this colder weather, he’s a Sheltie and it’s too hot for him in the summer, but I do have a treadmill I can walk on, I need to get back on it everyday, usually walk on it for an hr while watching netflix. I can’t drink black coffee can I use Stevia as my sweetener?

I’m 50 and recently post menopausal. Weight (25lbs on my 5 feet tall body!) has crept on over the past couple years and clung to my midsection. It makes me sad. Definitely feeling rock bottom after not having to watch my weight in the past. Only benefit is it naturally fills out my fine lines and wrinkles. 😉

I'm double screwed bc I'm addicted to sugar as well as potato chips. I eat a bag of Lays Singles everyday. Afterwards I CRAVE (can't live without) chocolate. I've put on 15 pounds in the last 2 years (as I approached 50). Just took photos of myself in underwear and that was my rock bottom (it wasn't pretty).
