I loved hearing your story. I have a similar one. I lost 35 lb and have kept it off for over 15 years. It all started when I hit puberty and began to gain weight. Today I'm a Registered Dietitian and also developed Hypothyroidism in my 30s. I am 44 now and need a metabolism boost.. Great workouts!

I love how you talk about the body, the fact it needs to be "loved and cherished" and that it is the "most amazing piece of equipment we could ever own". In Islam, our bodies are an "amana" (trust) from Allah (God) and it is part of our faith to treat it with care and love.
I think once we understand this and look at our bodies as gifts from God, then our mindset and willpower change. Much love to all the people on their weight loss journey – may we all stay healthy β€οΈ

WOW I love this video! After finding your video of getting off the pill recently it motivated me to come off after five years of taking it. I came off the pill last Saturday and I already feel a difference! I also started my weight loss journey again a month ago. I am starting month two now and this motivated me to keep thinking I need to think mentally that I am doing this to have a healthier body not just for looks. Thank you for saying that! I always used to catch myself stopping my work out routine at the two month mark. I am pushing even harder now to make it beyond three months and not stopping! You are a ray of sunshine, keep spreading the positivity girl!! π
Its cool how I thought that i will never lose weight in my life and feel gross from myself to this happy ik that i am not skinny now or not where I want to be but its just a magical feeling.

thanks Katie.. i feel so inspired about your story. I also have Hypothyroid. Didnt start getting treated it until a few yrs back. all my life ive been heavy. i was always the "fat kid in school" . i started doing all these diets, taking pills left and right. lost weight. was feeling at the top of the world. well guess what? i gained it back and lost it and now ive gained it back again π€¦ββοΈ. so fustrated because i am in my late 30's. my big prob is that i love to eat. i am currently 215 lbs ( my heavyest) and want to get down to 125 lbs. I know that following you will help me with my journey of getting back on track.
