βI say it all the time and yet it was a complete mystery to me.β You crack me up at least once per session, sprinkling your work with tee shirt or bumper sticker quotes. Today Iβm thinking fridge magnet, cuz this happens to me once per day. πππ
A good way to start Friday!
This one is going into my favorites. I really liked it. I liked the mix of Cardio and Strength. It really was just right. I finished the Body Shaping Workout program, and I thought it was fabulous. I did notice an increase in strength. However, I my weight went up by about 3 pounds. In going forward, I realize that I have had to many goals on my plate. I want to accomplish everything right now. Yes, I have been listening to you. Yes, I realize that is not the way to go about it. And Yes, you were right. So…. someone suggested recently to choose a goal for the next 6 weeks (it might have been you honestly in a recent video about the holidays). The bite size, 6 week, chunk feels very doable…not so large and ambiguous. I am going to choose to focus on Weight Loss for the next 6 weeks…and probably for the 6 weeks after that…one bite at a time. π I will focus on one fitness goal at a time.
In other news and events, we are getting transferred. My husband found out that we will be transferred to Colorado in the Spring. So… a busy winter ahead of us. When I mentioned to you yesterday that you were appreciated by women for fitness reasons, I realized that this was not the whole of what I wanted to say. You are not in a box labeled fitness. You truly have been an overall source of encouragement in my life over this past year. Yes, I have been working out with you now for over a year. I have treasured the time. You bring an encouragement to my day that goes beyond the 30 minutes I spend with you doing a workout. I thank you for that. I thank you for choosing to encourage so many women, men, people who are blessed by someone who chooses to lift up rather than tear down.
I did this one tonight, my first exercise with weights, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love finding your exercises that don't require getting down on the floor. Thank you Paula for showing me (at 69)that I CAN do exercise AND enjoy it.

When I first came across your video's I thought, "is that how I sound to other people?" I have been told I am goofy, I talk too much, I have too much energy and so I tried to cool my jets. But then I found my niche, I was a preschool teacher, a kindergarten aid and an elementary school secretary. I could be the enthusiast kid I had inside of me and still be a productive adult. The kids all knew I loved smiley faces and after 8 years at that job, I had an office FULL of smiley gifts.

Love cardio+strength workouts, and this was perfect and fun! BTW, I just spent three weeks mostly driving, with occasional walks and sporadic physical work, and I was 2 pounds lighter when I got home. I'm not a big eater, and I'm not on a weight-loss track right now, just concentrating upon keeping fit, but I inadvertently proved your point about exercise not being so crucial for weight loss. Thanks for this one, Pahla!!
Hi Pahla. This session with a combination of cardio and strength was indeed a bit of a challenge. The toughest one was the 'swinging elbows to knees'. My belly flab does come in the way of doing this like the way you do it. Balance is again an issue. Got to keep pushing myself. Thank you anyways for all your effort. πβοΈ

What's not to love? Challenging though doable workouts! Great instruction along with encouraging and upbeat personality! And free–what?!? Absolutely my favorite workouts (and I've tried a lot!). So great that I am CONSISTENTLY working out without the drudge factor. I have to admit to "monkey chatter" and that I am not embracing moderation fully. That's my goal, though.
I have completed 31 day challenge twice since discovering you back in March. Your workouts are part of my self care now. I must say this new one is brilliant, I will keep repeating. Thank you.

Good Thursday Morning! I just completed R2 Day 8 of the fitness over 50 workouts. I have truly enjoyed working out with Pahla and feel great! I love the cardio, weights and strength workouts and feel they have been so beneficial. I am not a morning person but I started getting up early because I look forward to doing the workouts.
Perfect ending to a stressful day. π

I did this workout on the rebounder to help with balance. At 70 years young, sometimes I don't need all the intense jumping of a regular rebounding session

Thank you Pahla! I had a great time! I had to drop from 5 lbs to 3 lbs for the arms stretch out. The 5 lb weights are a little too hard for correct form and the 3 lbs are too easy. π
