Today is day 6 of my 30 day youtube challenge and the topic is, “what is the best diet for women over 40?”

We cover a lot in this video but, specifically:

1) Underactive thyroid issues

2) Is your metabolism slowing down?

3) How many calories do you need?

4) And how much protein do you need?

I hope this video helps you understand everything you need to know regarding the best diet for women over 40. And, as always, any questions leave them below.

Do NOT subscribe unless my videos are actually helpful. The point of this channel is to help you, not promote me. So if my videos don’t give you value…don’t subscribe. If they do, though, please hit the sub button (it helps a lot!).

You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.

So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.

My name’s Jordan — but everyone calls me “J” — and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.

I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.

But listen.

This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.

It’s a place where you and I can chat.

I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.

And that’s totally cool.

Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.

Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together — borderline dangerous amounts — but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.

And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.

To your success,

-J

This is a video I needed to see. Recently got my blood panel done and thankfully I am good. I loved when you mentioned how people almost want to have an issue and not take full responsibility that maybe you are overeating.

In case, like me, you’ve already been wasting your time seeking for a diet program that works, https://t.co/Jg1jUT9u9G . ” I have dropped 15 pounds in A single week. I would recommend this program to any person who’s looking for a really efficient plan.?

Guys, losing weight doesn't have to be difficult (I used to feel it did). I'll give you some advice right now. Look for a diet plan known as Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that course has changed my life. I probably should not even be mentioning it cause I do not want a bunch of other guys out there running the same "game" but whatever, I am just in a great mood today so I'll share the wealth haha.

I’ve long been active in the dieting and fitness area of specialization for upwards of a decade and in this period I’ve cultivated a exceptional trustworthiness of which I’m extremely proud of. Exactly what I’m seeking to articulate is that, they devoted the better portion of a year fine-tuning and measuring the 3 week diet before they eventually made it accessible to the public. in this way, they made most certain that every little thing was covered and that not a thing was overlooked. http://technologywatchpost.com/3-week-diet-review-lose-25-pounds-21-days/

There is such a thing as autoimmune disorders affecting diet and bad gut health, psoc, and starvation mode. This video shamed women into the false notion that they are eating too much and there is no excuse for weight not coming off other than "them" not tracking their calories, untreated thyroid and metabolism issues.

Goodmorning sir, don’t know even how to begin a short text that takes longer to talk. I’ve gotten your utube Chanel from my daughter in UK. She said mom listen to this guy talk and it will encourage and blow you away. It did encourage me and blow me away because I realized my habits of eating were so scattered and not consistent. I have started on June 27,2020 weighing at 256.9.117kg, today July 5,2020 @249.6-113 kg. It’s all about being consistent and most importantly recording my calories consumed along with water and a bit of exercise. I cannot do strength at moment due to my health issues but will find a way to do it. My upper body I’m losing strength and both my knees are operated but will do it somehow. One last thing is my thyroid has been diagnosed since 1992 and am taking meds. I don’t know how to check metabolism or metabolic rate? I thought that Costs to have it done. There is much more in how I choose to eat and being mindful of what goes into my body. I hope I can stay with this positive attitude. Blessings to you dear man!❤️🇨🇦

You are so right! I love that you point this stuff out. I do have a thyroid problem and take a beta blocker so I do actually have an excuse. But guess what?! I still can lose weight when I do what I am supposed to. It’s slow but it does happen! Thank you so much Jordan❤️

So much truth here! I specialize in helping people over 35 lose weight and they all eventually find out that with the right changes they can be in better shape than ever before. But the perception that it gets so much harder at a certain age is hard to overcome.

Hey, thanks for this. When you say ‘get enough protein’, is that achievable in your opinion on a vegetarian diet?

You don't want to lose weight, you want to lose fat. By following stupid diet plans, I was primarily losing muscle mass. Oh god, how dumb I was? You only need correct diet and some kind of training, and the best thing is that you can find both (and much more) on website called *Next Level Diet*.

You didnt discuss hormonal changes that happen to women when they hit 40. It is not an excuse. It gets harder as women get older. Don’t gloss over that as if it is an excuse like thyroid problems. It is real. If you are an expert you cant make claims like that. Your recommendations are good but women over 40 need to remove certain foods that contribute to increase in estrogen which contributes to weight gain. Cut out dairy, alcohol, grains and any thing that metabolizes to sugar while trying to reach target goals. You need to revise your video.

Would you be so kind and share your experience with women with hypothyroidism. I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and you mention hypothyroidism but haven’t gotten into much detail. It would be helpful for SO many women. Thank you.

So how would having Hashimotos and half of a thyroid effect my efforts? I'm working with my doctor to try to get the right dose of thyroid medicine and I've been working with a strength coach and a nutritional coach. What can I do to have better results?
