Watch👉 20 Minute LOW IMPACT Weight Loss Cardio Workout for Women over 50 2021

Level TWO | ALL standing, NO jumping, NO equipment, NO squats or lunges | BURN 125 – 150 calories

Looking for a perfect WEIGHT LOSS workout that’s designed especially for women over 50? You’ve found it! We’ve got a terrific LOW IMPACT and beautifully moderate CARDIO routine that’s just right for YOU.

Exercising moderately might not sound like “enough” work for weight loss, but here’s the crazy thing about perimenopause, menopause and beyond: our bodies are different now! Low levels of estrogen means we have a reduced capacity to recover from tough workouts.

And lack of recovery equals storage of fat! (Yes, I know that sounds counterintuitive, but that’s the way Mother Nature works at “a certain age.”)

So if you’re looking to lose weight in midlife or later, it’s time to take your workouts down a notch and ENJOY the moderation!

This 20 minute low impact cardio workout needs no jumping or equipment, has no transitions to the ground, no squats and no lunges, and includes both a warm up and a cool down.

SET UP:
Interval timer is set for 20 seconds; complete these exercises in “stepstools” of three by starting with one exercise then resting, adding a second exercise then resting, and finally completing all three before resting and moving on to the next set.

WARM UP:
Arm Circles with High Knees
Arm Crossers with Booty Kickers
Welcome to My Homes

EXERCISES:
Stepstool One:
Push Push Crunch
Rainbow Jacks
Big Arm Side Shuffles

Stepstool Two:
Reach Across
Skiers
Toy Soldiers

Stepstool Three:
Kick Twists
Kick Jacks
Punch Punch Kicks

Stepstool Four:
Ding Dongs
Letter Ks
Drinky Bird Jacks

FINISHER:
Complete ALL exercises in a row without rest

Im so thankful for your workouts. I'm 31, but haven't worked out in years & a medication has caused 30-40 lbs of weight gain. So I may not be 50, but your workouts are the reason I've stuck with exercising for the past couple of weeks. I was so overwhelmed being so out of shape, but your videos get me a good workout & im able to complete them… So I've come back because getting in shape now feels more attainable.

Love your workouts! I’m diligently logging my calories and working out daily. But I’m in my third month and not seeing much of a difference. I know things are happening I can’t see and I’m trying hard to be patient. One day at a time. (And I love your podcasts when I’m out walking)

Pahla's advice on moderation really works for me, and has saved me from burn out in doing way above my pay grade for a very long time.

I did not feel like working out as my body was achy but I am glad I did. As my body feels better and my mind is clearer.
    Thank you Pahla 🙂💪🏽

Thanks to your workouts, I have now been working out 4 or more times a week and I am walking daily weather permitting. I have tried other workouts that said low impact but they were a little too quick-paced for me and not enough explanation on how to do the exercise. I actually enjoy doing your workouts.

Unbelievable how you can talk continuously!
I like those workouts, not too long, no transition to the ground, no jumping, no weights. 🙂

stress works against us in that it uses up the materials for creating progesterone to make cortisol (stress hormone), (these two hormones are made of the same material). Progesterone is secreted by the ovaries and the adrenal glands that also regulate stress. Progesterone helps burn fat and boost the metabolism. However, due to stress and the natural drop of hormone production that comes with age, progesterone levels are too low for fat burning.

I needed this workout today but more important I needed to hear your message about moderation at “our age” ;). I’m 44 and have been an athlete for decades. Now my hips hurt, my knees hurt and my back is stiff. Yet I continue to push myself way too hard every single day with workouts that create soreness and fatigue. Slowing down is not in vocabulary. But your encouragement and knowledge have really hit a button for me 🤓. Slowing down is what my body needs. Period. You are lovely and I enjoy all of your workouts.

Good Morning Pahla! I had my 14-year old daughter, Sarah, with me today. We worked out together. I really loved this step-stool style and would like to do others like it. My daughter didn't think she would make it through the workout, but she did. So…even for women of a young age, your workouts are enough….moderately, of course. 🙂
Do you have any links for other step-stool style workouts that you have done? Have a great day.

    Hi Pahla,
I am so thankful to have found these routines! Thank-you! I try to walk every day but have hit a plateau in my weight loss. Do you do these workouts every day? Is it ok, or would you recommend doing them every day?

This is EXACTLY what I needed today! I have been lax the last month on my daily workouts due to the holiday craziness, but I woke up today committed to getting back on track. Found this workout and it was just the right amount of exertion and heart raising work. Thanks Pahla B!

Thank you, Pahla. Coming back after a fractured toe. Perfect after 5 weeks of your seated workouts. Going into my regular rotation. 💕 Loved it.
