Here we go, Killer Bs, with DAY TWO of the Weight Loss for Women over 50 series of workouts – your FREE 31 day exercise program, designed especially to help women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond to lose weight.

Today we’re focusing on CORE STRENGTH and BALANCE practice with all bodyweight exercises at a slow and controlled pace.

I know you think you have to burn a lot of calories to lose weight, but during today’s workout, we’ll discuss all the reasons why slow-moving strength is an ESSENTIAL part of your weight loss routine.

Strength work like this is good for:
✨ Strengthening your deep core stabilizers
✨ Building patience
✨ Staying consistent
✨ Boosting your metabolism, and
✨ Shaping your body

SET UP:
Timer is set for one minute intervals; complete the circuit twice (for single-sided exercises, complete the first circuit on one side, the second circuit on the other)

Single Leg Kick Jacks
Deadlift Airplanes with Front Raises
Star Balance
Turn-In Lunges with Sumo Squats
Single Leg High Knee Twists
I, Y, W and Parade Rest
Reverse Lunges into Curtsy Lunges
Peek a Boo Side Steps

    R4 done. When we did the one leg twisting high knee was twisting my knee (which is not a good thing cuz I kept getting a twinge). First time I noticed that so need to go much slower maybe?? Any suggestions Pahla?! Loved the workout as I need a lot of practice on balance.

    Yowsa! That was rough for me today. I'm glad I was feeling physically stronger on August 3rd or I might not be on R4. And, great workout always — just more where my body is at this week <3

    I did your Day 2 routine. I had trouble doing the balance exercises.
    After 19 mins, I was breathing hard. I did not finished all of it. There was just 1 exercise and cool off left. It was still good. Will text tomorrow Day 3.

    Weekly mini challenge done.
    Usually miss 2-3 days but not this time. Did them all and challenging myself to continue doing so moving forward.
    I am 57 and daily exercise improves not only my sleep, etc but regulates my bathroom routine 💩❤️

    Hi Pahla, I just started reading about slow twitch versus fast twitch muscle exercises. I am restarting this whole program going SUPER wicked slow this time around. Thank you so much for keeping these programs on here.

    Loved this workout again Pahla. Definitely need more work on my balance. I did the sumo squats for the whole time and when it came to reverse lunge with curtsy lunge held Onto a chair which i used a lot for the other ones. My balance is improving slowly but surely I think will be glad when I can do it without a chair lol. And didn’t even attempt the one where I had to turn my head kept it facing forward. I’m just now getting a teeny bit better with balance without moving any other part of my body. But I’m moving and grooving right with you so am doing my best and that is what it’s all about! Thanks for the 3rd time through the challenge.

    Still at it, and this time hub did it, too. That last one was definitely the hardest for both of us. Also, the one with the curtsy lunge and other thing I did a side kick and a back kick while balancing on the other leg. I hope that works similar muscles! Thanks, P!

    Ok day 2 is complete. I'm wiped out because as you said, I literally literally was peak triangle fitness and fell out because I neglected to maintain my foundation during a hard period of my life and I've been fighting to get to the top again and not even leaving the ground. Epic. I've already begun telling all my friends and strangers about you. Wherever have you been my whole life 😁✋

    This is round 2 of this series. I finished the body shaping series and wanted to go back to this one. This time I am really paying attention to form and focus. I started with Day 2 and then walked afterwards for Day 1 😀

    Hi Pahla b, I am glad to be back to be on the killer bee squad. Day 0 ok I made it through seemed long. Maybe cause it was a month. I was was able to keep up pretty well Day 2 was a booger bear. Loved the stretches my body really needed it. I finally did the weights with 5lbs without stopping. I loved it slow and controlled was the bees knees. I felt like I was really giving my body something great thank u very much. Can't wait to see what day 3 will bring.

    I just started doing your workouts about a week ago, and I love them! I also love when your cats show up. Your one fluffy cat looks like my beloved Munchkin who recently passed and seeing him/her really makes me smile.

    I couldn't do this one. I tried. My balance is horrible. I feel bad that I couldn't do it but I'll keep moving through the days and do the ones that I can. I will get better eventually if I don't give up.
