Since cardio burns more calories than lifting weights, why are we lifting weights at all?
And he was right. I’ve written about how cardio is more efficient at burning calories than lifting. If you’ve got 30 minutes to train, cardio is going to give you the best bang for your buck when it comes to burning calories.
But let’s pause right there, because viewing exercise solely as a means to burn calories is probably the wrong frame of mind to have. And if we add lifting to cardio in a well-rounded program, you’re likely to see great results now that are long-lasting.
